Spirited 380 Sailing Catamaran

Design Concept

Peter Care of Hervey Bay was looking for a high performance catamaran, and as this was to be their home, his wife Suella was looking for luxury and comfort. They were both wishing for ease and swiftness in the build time and they felt that the Spirited 380 offered all of this and more.

The Spirited 380, by Spirited Designs, is supplied in DuFLEX® CNC-routed, modular form, and is suitable for both professional and amateur construction.  At 38' it combines all the essential elements in design and functionality, such as efficient use of space, performance, reliable open ocean capability, and uncompromised safety.

Construction

The Spirited 380 construction system combines molded hulls and decks, with flat panel construction for the balance of the structure.  The molded hull bottoms and tops are cored with BALTEK® SB.100 contoured, end-grain balsa and infused with the KINETIX® R118  / H120 room temperature infusion epoxy system.  Flat areas of the boat such as topsides, decks and cockpit are constructed with DuFLEX / balsa cored Composite Panels.
