DuFLEX Composite Panels were developed by ATL Composites in the early 1990's to reduce construction time and optimise structural weight in the production of lightweight composite structures in the marine, transportation, architectural and industrial markets.

Over the years, DuFLEX has become widely accepted, and hundreds of projects have incorporated the system, both in Australia and internationally.

Standard DuFLEX panels are available with rigid end-grain balsa and structural linear or cross-linked foam cores, laminated with a high performance epoxy resin and reinforced with multi-axial E-fibreglass.

For projects where superior stiffness and weight savings are required, ATL can also manufacture custom DuFLEX panels with combinations of carbon skins cored with structural or non-structural foams, end grain balsa, or aramid honeycomb cores.

Projects incorporating DuFLEX Composite Panels can be engineered and manufactured, by ATL Composites,  to meet the rules of all major Marine Authorities including Lloyd's Register of Shipping, American Bureau of Shipping, Germanischer Lloyd* , Det Norske Veritas and Australian Standard.  Our engineering team can also work with other engineers and designers, whose experience has been with other materials,  to provide guidance on how to utilise the structural advantages of DuFLEX for their specific projects.
