About Us

ATL Composites was initially established in New Zealand in 1977, manufacturing WEST SYSTEM(® epoxy products, under licence to Gougeon Brothers Inc, USA, for the Asia Pacific region.  Today, WEST SYSTEM(® is formulated by ATL in both New Zealand and Australia. An extensive national Distribution / Dealer network has been established in both countries, and throughout Asia, to ensure that  WEST SYSTEM products are readily available to the market, with local support for product supply and technical advice.

In 1980 ATL Composites expanded by opening a facility in Sydney, and during this time, additional epoxy laminating and adhesive systems were developed and added to the range to service the professional boatbuilding markets in both New Zealand and Australia.  In 1989, the Australian facility was re-located to the Gold Coast in Queensland, where we are today.

Over the years, a wider range of materials have been added, and now ATL distributes and manufactures for some of the world's leading composite suppliers including  3A Composites - AIREX(® structural foam and BALTEK® end grain balsa ; AIRTECH Inc - AIRTECH vacuum bagging and resin infusion consumables; Coosa Composites Inc - Coosa structural PU foam cores;  and Hawkeye Industries Inc - DURATEC mould surface coatings.

ATL developed DuFLEX®  Composite Panels in the early 1990's, as a value added product range that would reduce construction time and optimise structural weight in the manufacture of high performance composite structures.

Today ATL Composites holds a strong and successful position as an epoxy formulator, and supplier of composite materials, structural panels and engineering, for the construction of high performance, lightweight composite structures for the marine, automotive, industrial, civil and transport industries.

Our emphasis is always on practical fabrication solutions and cost effective products, resulting in improved performance and reduced production time for our clients.
