![]() DuFLEX® Composite Panels were developed by ATL Composites in the early 1990's to reduce construction time and optimise structural weight in the production of lightweight composite structures in the marine, transportation, architectural and industrial markets. Standard DuFLEX panels are available with rigid end-grain balsa and structural linear or cross-linked foam cores, laminated with a high performance epoxy resin and reinforced with multi-axial E-fibreglass. For projects where superior stiffness and weight savings are required, ATL can also manufacture custom DuFLEX composite panels with combinations of carbon skins cored with structural or non-structural foams, select grade end grain balsa, or aramid honeycomb cores. Marine • Over the years, DuFLEX Composite Panels have become an industry standard for composite boat construction, and hundreds of projects have incorporated the system, both in Australia and internationally. DuFLEX Composite Panels are suitable for hull shells, decks, superstructures and bulkheads for one-off construction, prototypes and running plugs, and they can also be used to extend hulls or modify superstructures of existing boats.
DuFLEX Composite Panels can be engineered and manufactured to meet the rules of all major Marine Authorities including Lloyd's Register of Shipping, American Bureau of Shipping, Germanischer Lloyd* , Det Norske Veritas and Australian Standard.
